Roaches’ Smooth Transition
By: DJ Henderson
Tuesday, July 26, 2011
Victor Roache, I.C.E.s' top prospect, is continuing his stellar year as he cruises through the Cape Cod League.
The Cape Cod league is prized as the nation’s best collegiate summer baseball league and takes only the nation’s top players.  Victor hit a solid .326 with 84 RBI’s and an eye popping 30 Home Runs, which lead the nation.  It was these numbers that earned him six All-American honors and solidified his spot in the Cape Cod League.
The potential 2012 first round draft pick has not had any problems continuing his demolition against the nation’s top pitchers in the Cape.  So far, Victor is hitting .345, with 28 RBI’s, which leads the league in both categories, along with six home runs, which is good for second in the league.

The league will play a 12 game season schedule and send a 15U team to the regional tournament.  Winners of the 8 regional tournaments across the country earn the right to compete for a National Championship.  This year's National Tournament will be held in Minnesota with the championship game being play at the home of the Twins.

Victor Roache Earns National Player of The Week Honors
April 5, 2011
The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper named sophomore Victor Roache (Ypsilanti, Mich.) national player of the week for the week of April 4th.  Lil Vic, as he is affectionately known in the ICE family, slammed six home runs for Georgia Southern University during the week including three on Saturday and Two on Sunday against the Citadel.
Adding to his monster week, Vic had .611 batting average and 13 RBI.  He slugged 1.667 with 30 total bases.  Vic has 12 homers for the season which tied him for the Division 1 national lead.
Vic was the 2009 ICE top prospect and the 25th round draft pick of the Detroit Tigers.  "Its great to see this young man achieve success" said Dwight Smith, Philadelphia Phillies Scout and ICE Co Founder. "We know him as a young man of tremendous character as well as a great ball player".
Victor was also named Southern Conference Player of the week.
